Baruuk is one such monk or enlightened soul and brought himself with a style of combat dedicated to spilling the least amount of damage as possible. He is someone who tries to avoid conflict by all means. Even the calmest soul has a breaking point and when it happens, he would bring a good amount of damage output and killing of enemies. His passive is Restraint and is tied to the entire kit. Among his abilities, the first three will lower the restraint bar levels which signify Baruuk tipping closer to the fueling his fourth ability’s mighty power.
Baruuk is fun to play, getting him equipped with the right mods or build will give you a lot of playing hours with enjoyment. Some might feel his abilities are quite old when compared to other Warframes but he is much better.
Baruuk Special Abilities
Elude - With this ability, He becomes untouchable and he learns this through the art of restraint. His passive outward behavior and the stance of non-aggression, attacks, and melee strikes will pass right through but without leaving any scratch behind. One drawback of this ability is, it cannot save or protect him from every angle and covers a max angle of 180 degrees in each direction he is facing. The Restraint bar will erode by 0.6% for every successful dodge.
Lull - When you get over a large group of enemies, Lull will save you in such a situation. This ability will create a calming energy wave that flows over all that surrounds him, and make them go into a deep sleep. This wave has a lingering effect and remains for 5 seconds while stretching over a radius of 25 meters. This makes any new enemy who enters into the wave will also be brought to a sleep-induced halt. The enemies who are affected by this ability will be sent into a dream state and this state will remain for 25 seconds and while awakening they will suffer temporary disorientating and amnesia, resetting any level of alertness in the corresponding enemy.
Desolate Hands - The third skill is calling forth a ring of eight levitating. This tool is quite trusty and is designed to disarm instead of killing. While using this ability, the dagger will provide a 10% additional damage reduction and will last out to disarm the foes within 6 meters. When Elude is active the Desolate Hands range will be doubled. After a dagger flies to disarm, a collision will occur and it creates a small explosion dealing 250 damage within a radius of 3 meters. For each disarm of the enemy, the restraint bar will erode to 1.6%.
Serene Strom - This is the breaking point of Baruuk, which will harness his inner rage in the exalted fist weapons the Desert wind along with a 25 % damage reduction. We suggest using Desert Wind because unlike other exalted weapons, it does not use energy, but instead it is connected to the restraint bar. Until it remains active, I will fill the restraint bar by 0.83% every second. The projectile wave will come along with the specials fists that deal with degrading the damage and it further travels to punch the enemy projectiles right back to their source. Enemies who are hit by these waves will be staggered and will be disarmed permanently. Based on this their waves have a 200% Crit multiplier, 10% status chance and 50% Crit chance.
Best Baruuk Builds
Choosing the right aura mod depends on your favorite Baruuk build and what you are trying to achieve. Steel Charge is the best choice when you want to create a build for your ultimate ability. If you go for that Naramon polarity, then you might use Corrosive projection or Energy siphon in other Baruuk builds. If you combine Vitality or Steel Fiber it will give you a significant boost when you use it with Umbral mods. If you don’t want to use Umbral mods, then you should have them maxed out and will need to invest way more Forma to fit them in.Taking all things into consideration, here are some of the best Baruuk builds you want to try
Baruuk Build General Power Stat Table
Special Abilities Stat Table
The Melee Storm Baruuk build
This build is fully based on and created for the Serene Storm. It also uses other abilities to build up the restraint meter. This Baruuk build stacks with a lot of ability of strength which not only increase the damage output, but also increases the damage reduction by 40%. The enemy sense is used to find a large group of enemies. Augur Reach and Stretch are included to increase the chance to attack enemies with other skills. Fleeting Expertise and streamline will be helpful to deal with energy pool. To increase the damage output further you can use Augur Secrets instead of Augur Reach.
Since the energy pool is pretty low you can use Redirection which will be a better option when compared with Vitality. It also increases your chance of survival.
The Lull Baruuk build
From the name itself, we can say that this build is mainly created for the Lull ability for crowd control and also for the Serene Storm. Lull creates a force field around you which will make every enemy into it to fall asleep. This Baruuk build will be a good option when you don’t need to kill the mobs. Lull Baruuk build is created in such a way it provides a good amount of duration and efficiency and as much range as possible. Energy Siphon and Intensify are mainly used to increase the damage output with Serene Storm. If you are on a mission where you need to deal with a large number of enemies than you can use Vitality over Redirection.
Desert Wind Baruuk Build
Baruuk comes with a default Warframe weapon called Desert Wind. Once the ultimate ability serene storm is activated, he switches them and deals with a huge amount of damage. To increase the damage output you have to build your Warframe weapon right. So, we suggest you try our Baruuk build presented here.
This Baruuk build is a simple one, it doesn’t have anything special, but improve the ability aspects further. Collision Force is very strong and Desert wind will have high impact damage. True Steel and Organ Shatter are already great with a critical chance. Berserker and Fury will increase the attack speed.
Baruuk is a nice Warframe and is quite fun to play with him, especially his ultimate ability is unique. The health pool is a drawback when it comes to higher-level enemies, so plan and select the Baruuk build with survival mods accordingly. Each Baruuk build we have suggested is best in its unique way. Set the mods, experiment it and let us know for betterment.
